Recordly has recently turned five years old, which followed a great celebration and 5-year-special hackathon edition. What better time to start your career at Recordly than stepping right into the celebrations?

In the 3rd quarter of 2026, we’re excited to introduce our three newcomers, Hannu, Konsta, and Panu. Read on to see what these fine people are all about!

Hannu turtiainen, ai/data engineer

Hannu joins Recordly as a Data/AI Engineer, bringing together a strong background in software engineering, cybersecurity, cloud technologies and AI research.

His path into tech started with electronics studies, followed later by a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity at the University of Jyväskylä. Since then, Hannu has worked across both research and industry, including avionics cybersecurity research and software development at a cybersecurity startup. There, his work ranged from software engineering and cloud and on-premises deployments to vulnerability management, DevSecOps and technical customer support.

Alongside his industry work, Hannu pursued a PhD at the University of Jyväskylä, focusing on AI and cybersecurity. His research evolved alongside the rapid development of AI itself: from computer vision and encoder-only transformer models to working with local large language models.

At Recordly, Hannu is especially interested in developing his expertise in different cloud architectures and agentic AI solutions. His strong AWS and cloud engineering background covers areas such as containerized workloads, CI/CD pipelines, IAM and infrastructure as code, complemented by a security-first perspective on building and deploying AI systems.

Outside work, you might find Hannu at the gym, playing disc golf or badminton, mountain biking, playing electric guitar or gaming.

• Do you have pets?
  • I have a 7-year-old black Labrador. He’s an awesome character.

• Your favorite movie, tv series, or book?
  • I think 1999 was the best year for movies; The Matrix, Office Space, Fight Club and many more. It’s difficult to choose the absolute best.
  • TV-series: True Detective Season 1. No question.
  • Book: Probably Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park just for the impact it had on me as a kid. Recently, I would say Andy Weir’s The Martian was pretty good. I like science fiction.
    
    
• Best destination you have traveled to ?
  • • North Scotland. Peace and quiet. Beautiful scenery. Nice people. Top notch whisky.
      
      
• Favorite game?
  • • PC games for sure. One of these: Fallout 1 and 2, Bioshock series, Hollow Knight and Hunt: Showdown 1896 depending on the time and place.
      
      
• Do you have a special morning or evening routine?
  • • I don’t do mornings. I try to keep up with a porridge routine, though.

Konsta Juntto, Sales Development Representative

Konsta joins Recordly as an Sales Development Representative,, bringing with him around seven years of sales experience and a background in international SaaS business.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from LUT University. Sales was not necessarily love at first sight for Konsta, and his early experiences in B2C sales even made him question whether it was the right path. Things changed when he moved into global SaaS sales, where the role combined new business development with broader commercial thinking, strategy and marketing.

Since then, Konsta has especially enjoyed the challenge of winning new business and turning difficult opportunities into successful deals. What motivates him most is being able to connect sales with projects that create genuine business impact for customers.

In recent years, Konsta has also become increasingly interested in AI and how it can be used both in sales work and to create concrete business value. In his previous role, he experimented with building AI-powered tools for daily tasks and company analysis, including keeping track of competitors and market developments.

Outside work, Konsta is usually doing something active: gym training, tennis, padel and boxing are currently high on the list. He also follows sports, especially tennis and Finnish ice hockey.

  • Tv show: Suits; book: Never split the difference. 

• Favorite food?

  • Entrecôte steak. 

• Favorite subject in school?

  • Social studies and history. 

• Favorite holiday?

  • Midsummer. 

Panu alaluusua, ai engineer

Panu joins Recordly as an AI Engineer, combining a strong data engineering background with expertise in AI, statistics and finance.

Panu holds a Master’s degree in Finance, with studies spanning statistics, econometrics and computer science. During his studies, he discovered that coding and the methods behind solving problems interested him even more than the subject matter itself. After graduating, he spent a few years as a doctoral researcher in computer science, working with analytics and teaching Python.

Before joining Recordly, Panu worked for 5.5 years as a Data Engineer at another Finnish consultancy. His experience includes building and operating business-critical data pipelines in the financial sector, where reliability, tight SLAs and timely delivery were essential. Over the past couple of years, he has increasingly focused on developing his AI expertise through certifications, personal projects and hands-on work with GenAI and agentic solutions.

At Recordly, Panu is looking forward to combining these areas: building reliable, AI-ready data foundations and developing agentic and GenAI solutions on top of trusted, well-structured data. His background across data engineering, AI and finance gives him a strong foundation for turning complex data and business problems into production-ready solutions.

Panu is based in Oulu and works primarily remotely. Outside work, endurance sports take up much of his free time. Cycling is especially close to his heart, and he trains and competes in virtual cycling.

• Your favorite movie, tv series, or book?
  • My Name Is Earl – My ultimate comfort show. Funny, warm and very human. A story about trying to be a good person and live a good life, one item on the list at a time. Still bitter that it got cancelled on a cliffhanger.
    
    
• Favorite game?
  • Zwift/MyWhoosh – My reset button. No matter what kind of day I’ve had, once I’m on the trainer and pushing towards my threshold, everything else disappears. Just breathing, pedaling and suffering. Never felt worse afterwards.
    
    
• Favorite subject in school?
  • History & Philosophy – I’ve always loved stories and the people behind them. History is basically an endless collection of great ones. I still fall asleep most nights listening to history podcasts about explorers, adventurers and people who somehow ended up changing the world.
  
  
• Favorite season? 
  • Spring – My happy place is the terrace sofa in early spring: still wrapped in a fleece and blanket, but sunglasses on, listening to the melting snow and enjoying the first warm rays of sun. Like après-ski, but in my own backyard and sober.
    
    
• Favorite holiday?
  • Christmas holiday – There are usually one or two days when I really find that Christmas peace. No rush, nowhere to be, nothing that needs to get done. Just being.
