Worms (series)

Worms is a series of artillery tactical video games developed by British company Team17. In these games, small platoons of anthropomorphic worms battle each other across a destructible landscape with the objective being to become the sole surviving team.

Worms Armageddon (version)

Worms Armageddon was originally developed as an expansion pack to Worms 2 (1997) and initially titled Wormageddon before it was released as a standalone game. As a result the game is very similar to Worms 2 but has a new single-player mode and adds a number of pieces of new content as well as being released on a wider variety of platforms. Worms Armageddon was acclaimed by critics, who praised the refined gameplay and stylized graphics, and it has been featured in a number of "greatest games of all time" lists.

You are warmly invited to join us for the Recordly Worms Armageddon Tournament at Recordly’s Helsinki Office. This is an open event for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned player, a casual gamer, or simply curious to see what the chaos is about.

Prepare for an evening of strategy, laughter, and well-aimed Holy Hand Grenades as teams battle it out on PS5. Whether you want to compete, cheer from the sidelines, or just drop by to enjoy the atmosphere, you are more than welcome.

Drinks and pizza will be provided to keep all warriors and spectators properly fueled.

Rules 

  • Played on PS5

  • Teams are decided/shuffled at location

    • Teams 6

    • Worms per team: 4

    • Worm health: 100

    • Turn time: 20 sec

    • Sudden Death: After 2 rounds

    • Map: Medium random

  • 4 rounds are played at minimum

  • Points per round are awarded as follows: 1st place receives 6 points, 2nd 5 points, 3rd 4 points, 4th 3 points, 5th 2 points, and 6th place 1 point.

What if I want to join the party, but do not eager to play?

  • That’s totally fine — you’re more than welcome to just come and enjoy the atmosphere. When the tournament starts, we’ll ask who wants to participate.

 

How many participants can join the tournament?

  • Due to limited time, space, and equipment, we are required to limit the number of players to 👉 30

    If you receive a notification that the event has reached full capacity, it is solely due to our limited resources.

 

Do I need to pay to participate?

  • Nope! 🎉 Participation is free.
